By participating in HackUK events, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not attend our events.
HackUK events are open to students aged 16-18. Participants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to attend. We reserve the right to verify age and require parental consent forms.
All participants must adhere to our Code of Conduct, which outlines the standards of behaviour expected at all HackUK events and platforms.
Participants who engage in disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour will be asked to leave without refund. We take safety seriously and reserve the right to involve relevant authorities if necessary.
Projects created at HackUK remain the intellectual property of the participants. By participating, you grant HackUK permission to showcase your project for promotional purposes (with attribution) and to feature photos/videos of the event on our website and social media.
HackUK may photograph or video record participants during events for promotional and documentation purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed and videoed. If you prefer not to be recorded, please inform an organiser at the start of the event.
HackUK, event venues, sponsors, and volunteers are not responsible for:
Participants attend HackUK events at their own risk. Parents/guardians of participants under 18 assume all responsibility for their child's safety and conduct.
Participants are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions or requirements to organizers. HackUK is not a medical provider. In case of emergency, we will contact parents/guardians and emergency services.
While we endeavor to provide allergen information for food at our events, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Participants with severe allergies are responsible for informing organizers and bringing their own safe food if necessary.
HackUK reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued participation in events constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
We reserve the right to remove participants who violate these terms or behave inappropriately. As all HackUK events are free to attend, no compensation will be offered to participants who are removed.
